| The images shown on this page were created using the freely available 3D modelling tool - the Visualization Toolkit ( VTK ). The image below shows a visualisation of part of a MRI scan of a person's leg. Two isosurfaces have been extracted according to different densities of material encountered during the scan - muscle tissue (peach tone) and bone (white). A totally opaque sphere has been intersected with the skin isosurface actor as an implicit function so that the underlying bone can be seen. Click on the image for a small video of the objects. |
